Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology with independence under a Radiologist’s direction. You will adapt procedures to obtain precise results while upholding safety and patient comfort.

The role emphasizes leadership in the imaging suite, equipment troubleshooting, and adherence to department protocols to ensure efficient patient care. Collaborate with team members across the Medical Imaging department.

Qualifications

Certifications: ARRT Registered Radiography (R)
BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA)
Education: Radiologic Technology certificate or degree
Experience: related field

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within department guidelines.
Acts as resource person for staff during radiographic procedures.
Uses proper views, filters, collimation, markers, and patient ID for quality imaging.
Maintains radiation safety practices and clean, organized work areas.
Troubleshoots equipment and assists with QA/QC programs.
Supports patient flow and timely reporting of results.
Mentors technologists and students and participates in training.
Contributes to team guidance and department protocol adherence.
