Job summary

Independence Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs under radiologist supervision at our facilities across the region.

You will collect patient data, verify orders, prepare patients, operate radiographic equipment, and document procedures. ARRT registry and a JRCERT-accredited program are required, with strong communication skills essential for patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Completion of a (JRCERT) accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by the ARRT.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide and diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Collects pertinent data about the patient and procedure.
• Reconfirms patient's identification and verifies physician's order.
• Reviews chart to determine optimal imaging procedure for suspected pathology.
• Verifies pregnancy status when appropriate.
• Provides information to the patient about the procedure.
• Verifies consent and answers questions.
• Operates imaging equipment and prepares patients for procedures.
• Documents information about patient care in the record.
