Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group - Gulf Coast Ortho Specialist in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to position patients, adjust imaging parameters, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images are captured. You will safely prepare contrast media and medications, following state and federal regulations.

The role requires multiple radiologic credentials (ARRT, Florida RTT, CCI, and ARDMS) and a strong focus on safety, documentation, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI required prior to hire.
• Radiologic Technologist credential from Florida Radiologic Technology required prior to hire.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed by ARRT prior to hire.
• ARDMS Sonography credential required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and set technical parameters for capturing diagnostic images.
• Safely prepare and administer contrast media and other medications per regulations.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions with proper lock/tag out procedures.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Position patients and set technical parameters for capturing high-quality, diagnostic images.

• Safely and accurately prepare and administer contrast media and other medications, following all state and federal regulations.

• Ensure prompt, accurate submission of all high‑quality images and required documentation (including patient data).

• Maintain equipment functionality, promptly reporting and addressing malfunctions with appropriate lock/tag out procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
