Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group Cardiology in Pensacola, FL seeks a Cardiovascular Imaging Technician to perform routine and complex cardiac procedures. You will set up transducers, position patients, and ensure images are uploaded to PACS with clinical accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency or better with experience, or an associate/technical degree, or 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certs within 30 days of hire; valid professional credentials: CCI, ARRT Radiography, ARDMS Cardiac/Medical Sonography, or CCI Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex cardiac procedures following clinical protocols.
• Setup, adjust, and maneuver transducers; position patients and tune parameters for optimal imaging.
• Identify pathology, anatomy, and artifacts; upload high-quality images/reports to PACS.
• Maintain clean, compliant departmental rooms and storage areas in line with safety standards.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Perform routine and complex cardiac procedures following clinical protocols to evaluate heart structures and hemodynamics.
• Setup, adjust, and manually maneuver transducers, positioning patients and tuning parameters for optimal visual output.
• Identify critical pathology, anatomical structures, and artifacts while promptly uploading accurate, high-quality images and reports to PACS.
• Enforce regulatory safety and quality control standards while maintaining clean, orderly, and compliant departmental procedure rooms and storage areas.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular CredentialingInternational (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• 1 year echo tech experience.
• Vascular experience.
