Job Summary and Qualifications

The Technologist maintains radiography skills, evaluates radiographs for quality, and performs procedures per protocols established by radiologists.

• Performs diagnostic procedures, ensuring high film quality.
• Minimizes artifacts, cleans cassettes as needed.
• Documents procedures and stat reads per policy.
• Obtains patient history, assists radiologist, and helps put patients at ease.
• Notifies supervisor of supplies or vendor needs, and can shut down or reboot equipment.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; graduate from AMA-approved radiologic technology program. Must hold or be eligible for ARRT registration, be certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program, and have current BLS certification.
