Job Summary and Qualifications

The Technologist maintains technical skills for radiography procedures and evaluates radiographs for quality, in accordance with staff radiologists' protocols. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing diagnostic procedures with high film quality.
  • Minimizing artifacts and cleaning cassettes.
  • Documenting procedures and stat reads per policies.
  • Obtaining patient history and assisting radiologists, ensuring patient comfort.
  • Communicating needs for supplies or equipment issues.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED required; graduate from AMA-approved radiologic technology program.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) or registry eligible.
  • Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program.
  • Current BLS certification.
