Job Summary and Qualifications

The Technologist maintains skills to perform radiography procedures, evaluates radiographs for quality, and follows protocols established by staff radiologists. Responsibilities include:

• Performing diagnostic procedures with high film quality.
• Minimizing artifacts, cleaning cassettes as needed.
• Documenting procedures and stat reads per policies.
• Obtaining patient history and assisting radiologists, ensuring patient comfort.
• Reporting supply needs and demonstrating ability to shut down or reboot equipment.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; graduate from AMA-approved radiologic technology program. Must be ARRT (R) or registry eligible, certified by Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program, and hold current BLS certification.
