Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services, applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients across all age groups, from newborn to elderly. The role requires proficiency in O.R. procedures and equipment. Completes established competencies within the designated introductory period. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree.

Required Certifications/Licensure:

• Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography or eligibility. Must obtain ARRT within one year of graduation from an accredited school.

Required Courses/Certifications: Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ARC or AHA). AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Tenet complies with laws regarding mandatory vaccination. Candidates may need to provide proof of vaccination or apply for an exemption, with regular testing if exempted.
