Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging with independent judgment and initiative. You will position patients, select exposure factors, and ensure high-quality images while following safety standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing orders, educating patients, administering contrast when ordered, and maintaining equipment with basic quality control. ARRT radiography certification within 6 months and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or equivalent education in radiologic technology or related experience.
• Certification in ARRT Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification as per American Heart Association.
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 FBI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and ensure image quality.
• Review history and orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media when ordered; monitor patient status.
• Prepare equipment; select exposure factors; perform QC; troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

Prior radiology experience

Education

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training

ARRT (R) Radiography certification within 6 months of hire

CPR – American Heart Association

Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
