Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging with independence and clinical judgment. You will position patients, analyze image quality, and ensure accurate results.

The role includes educating patients, administering contrast as needed, monitoring status, and maintaining safety standards across procedures. Preferred credentials include ARRT in radiography with CT certification in 18 months.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT Registered (RT) in radiography or NMTCB registered (CNMT) at time of hire.
• CT certification or NMTCB CT certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures independently.
• Analyze results and identify image quality issues.
• Reseat or reposition patient and repeat procedures as needed.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.
• Educate patient regarding procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications when ordered.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
