Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with minimal supervision.

The role requires patient positioning, image analysis, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The incumbent may administer contrast media as ordered, coordinate with physicians, and ensure accurate reporting of scan results. ARRT certification and CPR are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience.
• ARRT (R) Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34/33/73 background clearances as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures, analyze results and address image quality issues.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results, and educate patient about procedures.
• Administer contrast media or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, and ensure safety standards and quality control.
