Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a part-time radiology technologist for on-site or off-site assignments. PRN availability and on-call rotations are required, with shifts typically 11p-7a, 7a-3p, 3p-11p, and 11p-7a depending on sign-up.

Responsibilities include operating x-ray equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining RIS/PACS documentation. Candidates must hold ARRT certification (or eligible), IEMA accreditation, and current CPR.Weekend and holiday

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or Certificate Eligible.
• For new graduates, ARRT must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered by a physician.
• Maintain proper technical parameters and document diagnostic procedures.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and infection control standards.
• Labels radiographs per department criteria and ensures patient safety.
• Participates in CPR and staying current with required certifications.
