Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiography for designated body parts under physician orders. This full-time role requires 32 hours weekly with four 8-hour shifts, primarily PM or mid-shift, and includes weekend, call, and holiday rotation.

You will work with RIS/PACS systems, maintain ALARA standards, and ensure patient comfort and safety. A graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT certification is required;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Certification or Certificate Eligible; must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and infection control.
• Maintains radiographic quality and proper patient identification.
• Reviews radiographs for optimum quality and reports equipment issues.
• Performs required RIS/HIS functions and data entry.
• Maintains supplies and equipment readiness; ensures patient comfort.
