Advocate Health in Georgia seeks a Radiologic Technologist Assistant to support imaging staff by preparing patients and rooms, maintaining infection control, and organizing workflow. You will verify patient identity, assist with transfers, and use radiology systems for requisitions, scheduling, and data handling while upholding safety standards under supervision.

Position requires strong communication, ability to stand long hours, and physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs with PPE.

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiology program; 12 months training completed.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers is required within 120 days of graduation; RT registration follows.
• Anticipated completion verified by program director for ARRT-accredited Radiography program.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Supports imaging procedures by preparing patient and exam rooms and maintaining infection control.
• Verifies patient identity using two identifiers and explains procedures to patients.
• Assists patient preparation and transfers to/from exam rooms; transports patients as needed.
• Uses radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors under supervision, following safety practices.
• Documents images and records in SmartChart, RIS and PACS; cannot independently review images.
• Demonstrates age-specific care and communication appropriate to patient needs.
