Job summary

Ascension Health in Brookfield, WI is offering an internship within the Imaging department as a Radiology Tech trainee. You will prepare patients, assist supervising technologists and physicians, position patients and help with contrast administration under scope of practice and regulations.

This internship targets students within 12 months of graduating from radiology programs, aiming to transition into Radiology Technicians as part of Ascension's patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire date required.
• High school diploma equivalency or enrollment in accredited radiology program.

• Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.

Additional Preferences:

• This internship is designed for students who are within 12 months of graduating from their radiology program and will soon be transitioning into roles as Radiology Technicians.
