Job summary

Ascension in Brookfield, WI seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular Interventional Radiography to join the Interventional Radiology team at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital.

You will perform angiography, guide interventions, position patients, and assist the Radiologist/PA while adhering to regulatory standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.
• ARRT Vascular-Interventional Radiography credential required within 15 months of hire; General Radiography also required.
• Wisconsin Radiography licensure required by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity; monitor and refine protocols as warranted.
• Perform specialized imaging procedures such as angio and complex vascular/nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures with Radiologist/PA assistance.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular‑Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. General Radiography required in addition to Vascular Interventional Radiology required. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required. General Radiology and state licensure required by hire or job transfer date.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
