Radiology Associates of Hartford PLLC is seeking a Scheduling Clerk to manage patient exam appointments across multiple imaging locations. The role involves handling a high volume of inbound calls and faxes, verifying patient demographics and physician orders, and coordinating with referring offices to ensure accurate RX documentation.

The position emphasizes speed, accuracy, and courteous communication, with a 8:00am-4:30pm schedule Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of accurate and efficient work.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient exams according to physician RX orders while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Make outbound calls to schedule exams when RXs are received for unscheduled patients.
• Follow up on patient and referring physician inquiries; respond with courtesy and professionalism.
• Verify RX completeness and coordinate with referring offices to obtain orders as needed.
• Manage and escalate priority issues; route questions to appropriate resources.
• Communicate scheduling information to the team lead/supervisor to maintain continuity of care.
