Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 2 to join the Radiology Services team in Seattle. You will manage high-volume scheduling for outpatient mammography, acquire external imaging records, and ensure accurate data entry in the UW Medicine EMR and Radiology PACS.

You will also handle release of information requests, provide cross-coverage for the Emergency Department Radiology reading room, and support smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• 1 year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate high-volume outpatient mammography scheduling and monitor Epic queues to optimize templates and minimize patient waitlists.
• Proactively reach out to outside facilities to request, expedite, and track historical mammography films and reports.
• Coordinate technical upload and data reconciliation of external images/reports into UW EMR and Radiology PACS.
• Review, prioritize, and process daily ROI requests within Epic for PHI disclosure.
• Deliver scheduled administrative backup for the ED Radiology reading room, including triaging clinician calls and incoming orders.
