Job summary

Cardiac Study Center in Tacoma, WA seeks an Imaging Medical Secretary to schedule and coordinate imaging appointments, maintain accurate records, and support daily imaging department operations. You will interact with patients, providers, and technologists to ensure seamless care.

The role is full-time and onsite, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with imaging systems like EPIC/RIS. Experience in medical offices is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with medical office exposure.
• Experience scheduling imaging and using clinic systems preferred.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient imaging appointments across modalities in EPIC and RIS.
• Coordinate urgent imaging requests with leads and providers.
• Answer calls on a multi-line system with excellent service.
• Review orders and histories to ensure correct exams and protocols.
• Collect patient demographics, insurance, and diagnoses; handle referrals.
• Ensure prior imaging records are accessible in PACS.
• Maintain templates, schedules, and communicate updates.
• Prepare requisitions with ICD-10 codes and study reasons.
• Assist with QA, data management, and departmental operations.
