Job summary

Harborview Medical Center seeks a part-time Patient Services Specialist 2 to coordinate high-volume radiology scheduling and manage external imaging records. This on-site role supports Epic workflows, image intake, and ROI requests to ensure PHI is processed securely and efficiently.

The position offers weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am–7:30pm) with opportunities for growth within UW Medicine's Harborview Radiology services.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume scheduling for outpatient mammography screening and optimize clinic templates.
• Acquire external imaging records by contacting outside facilities and tracking films/reports.
• Coordinate the intake and reconciliation of external medical images and reports in EMR and PACS.
• Process ROI requests ensuring PHI disclosure compliance in Epic.
• Provide operational cross-coverage for the Emergency Department Radiology reading room.
