Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a patient transporter for the Radiology Department. Under general supervision, you’ll move patients to and from units, ensuring safety, dignity, and timely service. Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities include transferring patients, securing wheelchairs and stretchers, logging patient movements, and coordinating with Radiology staff. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred; flu vaccination may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related patient transport experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from Radiology and nursing floors in a courteous and safe manner.
• Ensures patients are safely placed in wheelchairs or on stretchers.
• Updates logs and communicates with Radiology staff.
• Follows hospital safety policies and codes.
