Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a patient transport aide to move patients to and from the Radiology department with emphasis on safety and dignity. Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM–8:00 PM, with rotating weekend and holiday availability required.

Under general supervision, you will transfer patients, ensure safe wheelchair and stretcher placement, and maintain clear communication with patients and staff. Compliance with policies and proper identification are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; licensure not required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of related patient transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from Radiology safely and courteously.
• Assist with safe placement in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Log patient transfers and communicate with Radiology staff.
• Follow patient identification procedures and safety policies.
• Ensure equipment is clean and report equipment issues promptly.
