Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking a compassionate Patient Transporter to support Radiology patients and ensure smooth workflow across departments. You will transport patients to and from the Radiology Department and inform them about procedures, preparations and examinations.

You will maintain equipment and cleanliness of stretchers, wheelchairs and transport devices, perform processor start-up/shutdown, and complete QC tasks.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Previous hospital experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department
• Become familiar with and adequately inform and explain to patients all procedures, preparations and examinations
• Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of all stretchers, wheelchairs and transport devices
• Clean processor, visually inspect for problems and run quality control strip
• Perform processor start-up and shut-down procedures
