Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Verify insurance and patient information; collect signatures and ensure documentation
• Collect and log co-pays and fees; answer and transfer calls
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments; confirm and notify staff of changes
• Provide orientation on prep and safety protocols; give facility directions
• Coordinate with back-office for timely patient care
• Safeguard patient property and health information; protect medications
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and public
• Establish and nurture cooperative working relationships
