Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support outpatient imaging and radiology services. You will contribute to a positive patient experience by handling registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front-desk tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will work day shifts at Mercy Hospital, collaborating with radiology management and care teams while using MyChart and other front-end tools to enhance throughput and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing or customer service.
• Knowledge of PC window applications to input and retrieve data.
• Experience with customer service and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive, proactive, and “Patients First” experience for all patients and visitors.
• Create a welcoming, professional environment with exceptional customer service.
• Assist patients in waiting areas, greet patients, resolve issues, and perform service recovery.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve patient issues using the HEART model.
• Perform front-desk operations including patient registration, pre-visit workflows, co-pay collection, and record tracking.
• Verify insurance and enter billing and payment information accurately.
