Job summary

High school diploma or GED required; medical terminology knowledge and prior radiology office experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Experience providing exceptional customer service.
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Provide orientation for prep and safety protocols and directions to facilities.
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely care and safeguard patient information (PHI).
• Safeguard on-site medications and protect patient financial information.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect patient boundaries.
