Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an Imaging Patient Assistant to support the Imaging department while enrolled in an ARRT/ARDMS accredited program. Assist with patient prep, exam room setup, and basic clerical tasks under supervision. You will work with RIS/PACS and help front desk duties if needed.

Ideal candidates are current Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography students with strong communication, reliability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ARRT/ARDMS accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• GED or High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam prep and transport between rooms.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient data.
• Prepare and organize exam rooms and work areas; restock supplies as needed.
• Greet patients and handle front-desk tasks when required.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
