Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Radiologic Technology student or trainee to support exam preparation, patient handling, and coordination with radiology staff. You will work with technologists to organize rooms, manage supplies, and ensure smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a ARRT/ARDMS-accredited program and possess basic computer and communication skills. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, patient care, and teamwork in a busy radiology setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ARRT/ARDMS-accredited Radiologic Technology or Sonography program
• GED/HSED/HS diploma completed

Responsibilities

• Assist patient in exam prep and transport between rooms and escorts as needed
• Use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient data
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment according to department needs
• Greet patients and visitors, respond to routine requests and schedule appointments
• Serve as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist
• Provide radiology reports/images to staff, patients and family and manage health records
• Document observations and communicate needs to physicians and health-care team
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of imaging equipment and MRI implant screening
• Provide age-appropriate care per department policies and growth/development considerations
