Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a student Imaging Assistant to support the Radiology team in Charlotte, NC. You will assist with patient prep, transport, and exam-room readiness while learning to use radiology systems for scheduling and data retrieval.

The role requires current enrollment in an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology or ARDMS program, with a GED or HS diploma and basic communication and computer skills. BLS is required on hire, with potential front desk tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology or ARDMS program.
• GED or High School Diploma or equivalency.
• No prior imaging experience required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam preparation and provide basic instructions.
• Transport patients between exam rooms and departments.
• Use radiology information systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and retrieve patient data.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms, stock supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Greet patients and respond to routine information requests; assist with front desk duties if needed.
• Serve as liaison between ordering physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
