Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC seeks a Manager of Radiology to oversee operations and strategic planning for the department with 24/7 accountability.

The role requires establishing department goals with the Director, ensuring plan implementation, regulatory compliance, mentoring new leaders, and aligning clinical, service, and educational activities. You will manage staff, payroll, RMS, codes, QA, and monthly metrics, partnering with Financial Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of AMA-sponsored School of Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Develops short- and long-term goals for the department aligned with hospital goals.
• Ensures plans are implemented and goals are met with administration collaboration.
• Educates staff on regulatory compliance and addresses deficiencies.
• Mentors new unit leaders.
• Provides clear expectations and timely feedback on performance.
• Integrates clinical, service, administrative, and educational aspects across cost centers.
• Manages employee matters including staffing, supervision and development.
• Oversees care on units to ensure patient needs are met.
• Maintains payroll and statistics.
• Provides RMS training and guidance.
• Updates codes with the RMS/Financial Services team.
• Manages access rights in RMS.
• Performs QA of daily procedures and RMS Daily Log reconciliation.
• Updates monthly radiology statistics.
• Supports knowledge of growth and development across the life span and ensures staff competency and license status.
