Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a part-time Radiology: Xray assistant at Atrium Health Anson. The role supports patients in exam prep, transports between rooms, and assists with basic procedures while utilizing radiology systems to manage requisitions and schedules.

No prior radiology experience is required, and BLS certification is required upon hire unless exempt by leadership. The position emphasizes strong communication and teamwork with physicians, technologists, and patients.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire unless exempt.
• No prior experience required.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to follow directions and work with technologists, physicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam preparation and provide basic instructions.
• Transport patients between rooms/departments and escort visitors as needed.
• Utilize radiology systems to generate requisitions and check schedules.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and prepare work areas.
• Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments and take messages.
