Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
• BLS required.
• Clinical experience in a medical imaging setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic x-rays supervised by a radiology technologist.
• Identify and assist patients with questions about procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams and ensure safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
• Assist with administration of contrast media as directed.
• Support physicians and technologists during diagnostic exams across modalities.
• Retrieve orders and requisitions in RIS/EMR and related systems.
• Assist patients with mobility and ancillary care needs.
• Contribute to administrative, QA, safety, and compliance tasks.
