Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an Imaging Patient Assistant to support the Imaging department with patient transport, room prep, and clerical duties. You will help prepare exam rooms, assist patients, and coordinate with radiology staff to ensure smooth workflows.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, managing basic front desk tasks, and assisting with PACS-related support. The role requires strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to handle varied tasks in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• GED or HS diploma required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills and experience with radiology information systems/PACS.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with exam preparation and transport between rooms.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies, maintain equipment.
• Greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage film loans.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
• Provide radiology images to staff and retrieve patient records.
• Perform basic PACS management support and front desk duties as needed.
