Based in New York with weekend coverage at Garden City and East Islip locations, the position emphasizes professional service, accuracy, and HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for customer service and professional demeanor.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills are essential.
• Experience providing exceptional customer service is preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge and radiology office experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collect and log co-pays and fees.
• Answer or transfer incoming calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Provide directions for facilities and orientation on safety protocols.
• Coordinate with back-office staff for timely patient care.
• Safeguard patient information and medications according to policies.
• Interact professionally with patients and staff, respecting boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
