Atlantic Health System is seeking a patient-focused Imaging Support Assistant at Newton Medical Center to help radiology teams. You will escort patients, safely transfer them to exam rooms, assist with positioning, restock supplies, and keep rooms clean and welcoming to ensure smooth imaging workflows.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork in a high-volume environment, and the ability to learn quickly while meeting daily productivity targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare or medical imaging preferred.
• BLS is required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to effectively work in a high-volume team environment
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly and have problem-solving skills, while meeting daily productivity targets
• Must be detail oriented and well organized

Responsibilities

• Escort patients in and out of exam rooms.
• Safely transfer patients on and off exam tables.
• Push and maneuver stretchers and wheelchairs to transport patients.
• Support technologists with patient positioning during imaging exams.
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels in exam rooms.
• Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and prepared for procedures.
• Answer phones and provide courteous communication with patients and team members.
• Schedule patient exams as needed.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
