Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support patient assessments, exam procedures under a Radiologist's supervision, and related clerical tasks in an outpatient imaging setting.

Your responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, assisting with fluoroscopy, and maintaining the film library while delivering courteous, confidential patient care.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant or in patient care.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Familiarity with radiology terminology and basic computer skills.
• Candidate may be a Certified Medical Assistant or enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and management under supervision of a Radiologist.
• Assist with select exam procedures in an outpatient imaging environment.
• Provide patient questions answers while maintaining confidentiality.
• Handle film library and clerical duties for the department.
• Generate preliminary image evaluations and assist with reports as directed.
• Review patient prescriptions for accuracy prior to exams.
• Transport patients as needed for diagnostic testing.
