Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Patient Liaison for the Radiology Department to handle scheduling, patient registration, and insurance verification. The role requires accurate data entry and proficiency with RIS, PACS, Cerner, and related systems.

You will support radiologists, coordinate referrals, answer calls, and ensure smooth patient flow through registration and admission processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Medical insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives for admissions and direct to appropriate departments.
• Schedule radiology appointments considering exam type and prep.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Maintain centralized Radiology filing systems and medical records.
• Verify insurance and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Provide phone coverage and handle messages for Imaging Center.
• Assist with preregistration and registration via RIS/Cerner.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely entry for billing support.
