Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous customer service experience required
• Previous physician practice experience preferred
• Previous call center experience preferred
• Basic medical terminology, electronic scheduling, electronic medical records experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responds to multi-channel inquiries regarding appointments, referrals, refills, etc. following scheduling guidelines and clinical escalation protocols
• Maintains call queues and processes calls efficiently while ensuring high customer experience
• Demonstrates active listening, empathy, courtesy, and professionalism with callers and colleagues
• Ensures proper patient identification, accurate demographics and insurance coverage, and updates patient medical records
• Performs general office/clerical duties at offsite practices as needed, including scheduling and registration
• Provides feedback to improve departmental performance and participates in meetings/in-services
• Complies with all annual mandatory requirements and conditions of employment
• Performs other related duties as assigned
