Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital seeks an organized, patient-focused scheduler to support the Diagnostic Radiology team. You will assist referring physicians, radiologists and technologists in the Imaging workflow, ensuring smooth patient flow and high satisfaction.

Responsibilities include scheduling exams in Paragon HIS, greeting patients, and coordinating follow-up appointments with physicians’ offices. Evening shifts and rotating schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; strong secretarial skills.
• Knowledge of PACS, Paragon and Powerscribe is expected.
• Radiology experience preferred; computer literacy important.
• Word processing skills preferred for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for Diagnostic Imaging exams in the Paragon HIS.
• Greet and direct patients; monitor waiting area to prevent delays.
• Answer phones within 3 rings using approved script.
• Verify orders in HIS and enter orders when needed.
• Coordinate follow-ups with physicians to ensure imaging needs.
