MedStar Health's Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II for a part-time role. You will operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment, following physician specifications and radiographic protocols, while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

The position requires 3+ years in diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy, ARRT certification, Maryland/Virginia licensure upon hire, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy experience.
• ARRT certification required upon hire.
• Maryland and/or Virginia radiologic technologist license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment per physician specifications and established radiographic protocols.
• Adhere to radiation safety and organizational policies; evaluate image quality and ensure proper patient identification and labeling.
• Independently support invasive procedures in the operating room using a C-Arm and/or O-Arm.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflows, safety, and patient care.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment, manage supplies, and prepare patient rooms.
• Communicate with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Document patient care activities in EHR and distribute final images to PACS promptly for interpretation.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ARRT Standards of Ethics.
