You will perform fluoroscopy and radiography, ensuring patient safety, image quality, and proper labeling while engaging in ongoing training and performance improvements within a patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or radiologic technology certificate required.
• ARRT certification required upon hire; MD/VA license preferred.
• Three+ years of diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy experience.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, operates digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs according to physician specs and protocols.
• Applies radiologic knowledge to provide diagnostic imaging for patients of all ages while following radiation safety and policies.
• Independently supports invasive procedures in the OR using a C‑Arm or O‑Arm with competency in general radiography and fluoroscopy.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflows, patient experience, quality and safety.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and manages supplies in the assigned area.
• Communicates effectively with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures.
• Performs quality control and promptly reports equipment or environmental issues.
• Provides patient education and supports pre-procedure preparation and addressing needs.
• Prioritizes patient flow and coordinates care; documents in EHR and distributes final images to PACS timely.
• Demonstrates SPIRIT values and adheres to ARRT ethics; maintains professional behavior.
• Adheres to departmental policies, safety regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Follows leadership direction and established protocols to maintain efficient patient flow.
