Qualifications

• ARRT certification in radiography.
• State radiologic technologist license.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• May complete MA Competency Checklist and serve as MA in a clinic.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patient and verifies identity and orders.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines.
• Completes studies within timeframes while maintaining care quality.
• Instructs students and other techs on protocols and positioning.
• Educates patients and ensures comfort and safety.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related info systems for quality imaging.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures and reactions.
• Follows medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC protocols.
