Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging exams with expertise in multiple modalities. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results and patient safety.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS. The position offers shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends and a full-time schedule of 36 hours per week at Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (R) required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• May need MA Competency Checklist and MA functions in clinic/InstaCare settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Prepares patient, verifies order, and identifies patient for exam.
• Performs exams per protocol; reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within time limits while ensuring patient care and quality.
• Instructs students/colleagues on protocols, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns; ensures comfort.
• Maintains infection control and sterile techniques; operates equipment/information systems.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures, notes adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failures.
