Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO, seeks a Radiologic Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure high-quality results. You will collaborate with radiologists and clinicians, maintain safety standards, and guide students and staff in exam protocols.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BLS, with IV certification preferred. Schedule is full-time (36 hours) with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification as Radiologic Technologist and active state license.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• May be asked to complete MA competency checklist and function as MA in clinic settings.
• IV certification preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Identify patients, verify orders, and prepare for exams.
• Perform exams per protocol and review images for quality.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within time targets while upholding care and quality.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff in protocols and equipment.
• Provide patient education and ensure comfort and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follow clinical protocols for coding, charging, consents, QC, and equipment failure reporting.
