Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist credentialing and competency.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and function as an MA in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Verify patient identity, order, and prepare patient for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality; assist and teach students and staff.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images; keep detailed records.
