Job summary

Wellstar is seeking an APRN positioned within Radiology to support imaging procedures across modalities. The role emphasizes safe, patient-centered care, adherence to ALARA practices, and collaboration with radiology staff and physicians.

The position reports to the modality manager and requires ARRT-radiography, BLS, and modality-specific certifications. Excellent patient communication and safety culture are essential for success.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• BLS Instructor or BLS certification required on hire.
• MRI requires ARRT (R) or ARMRIT; Nuclear Medicine requires CNMT or ARRT (N).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in modality imaging while adhering to ALARA principles.
• Performs imaging exams and evaluates image quality with correct patient identification.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols; adheres to aseptic technique.
• Ensures patient safety and manages emergencies during procedures.
• Maintains compliance with Wellstar policies and code of conduct.
