Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks an APRN Radiology professional to perform imaging exams and contribute to patient-centered care. You will operate imaging equipment, follow ALARA, and support the Radiologist with protocols and safety.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program graduate.
• ARRT Radiography certification required; BLS certification mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of assigned modality imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.
• Performs imaging exams consistent to assigned modality in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper patient identification is recorded.
• Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
• Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner.
• Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
• Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
