Job summary

Wellstar is seeking an APRN position in Radiology imaging to perform modality exams with strict adherence to ALARA and patient-centered care. The role requires ARRT radiography certification and related licensure, with duties spanning image acquisition, post-processing, and patient safety.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of radiology experience and be capable of operating imaging equipment while maintaining high standards of patient communication and care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate appropriate modality imaging equipment based on department.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written.
• Possess excellent patient/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of assigned modality imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Performs imaging exams consistent to assigned modality in a variety of settings; evaluates images for technical quality.
• Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures.
• Applies patient safety principles and responds to emergency situations appropriately.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
• Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
