Job summary

St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee seeks a Radiologic Technologist for the Diagnostic Radiology Department. The role includes performing fluoroscopy, general X-ray, and related procedures, with patient communication and strict safety practices.

3rd shift starts between 9:30pm and 10:00pm, with one call shift weekly and two holidays per year. Licensure as a Wisconsin Radiographer and ARRT RT registration are required, with BLS to be obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• Wisconsin radiographer license required; ARRT RT certification.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including fluoroscopy.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain history, addressing questions.
• Position patients, select exposure factors, ensure radiation safety.
• Identify and label images, verify orders, and ensure image quality.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and document in the RIS and billing system.
• Lift and move patients as needed and maintain age-appropriate patient care.
• May be required to work additional shifts or on-call per schedule.
