Job summary

St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Diagnostic Radiology Department. The role includes fast-paced procedures, patient communication, image labeling, and collaboration with Radiologists in a top-tier hospital setting.

The position requires Wisconsin radiographer licensure, ARRT RT certification, and BLS within 6 months. No prior experience is required, and a sign-on bonus up to $6,000 is offered for 20+ hour work weeks.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin radiographer license required.
• ARRT RT registration required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.
• Advanced training in Radiologic Technology.
• No prior radiology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain clinical history.
• Position patients and select exposure factors with radiation safety in mind.
• Identify and label images, verify exam accuracy against orders, process images.
• Assist and consult with Radiologists.
• Enter patient/study data into RIS and document billing codes.
• Assist with patient positioning/transport and adhere to safety protocols.
• Provide age-appropriate care and adapt to life-span needs per department standards.
